In 2018, former professional cyclist and the long-time cycling commentator Paul Sherwen unexpectedly past away. During his life, he had a deep connection to the people and culture of East Africa. His work in Uganda, connected specialized job skills and personal training programs to help drive economic progress.

The Paul Sherwen Project organization was created to honor the late Paul Sherwen by continuing his personal initiatives of empowering individuals in East Africa. Helping them reach their potential, transforming their own lives, and those of their community.
